What Epix stores, why, and how long it keeps it.
Epix stores what it needs to do the job you configured and nothing beyond it. This page says what that is in specific terms rather than general ones.
What is stored
| Data | Why | Retained |
|---|---|---|
| Server, channel, role and user IDs | Configuration references a member or a channel by ID, never by name. | Until you remove the setting or the bot leaves. |
| Server configuration | It is what the bot reads to behave the way you asked. | Until changed or the bot leaves. |
| Levelling totals | XP and level per member, per server. | Until reset or the bot leaves. |
| Moderation records | Warnings, mutes and bans, so a history exists. | Until deleted by a moderator. |
| Message content | Only where you enabled logging or snipe, and only for those channels. | A rolling window, then deleted. |
| Ticket transcripts | Only where you enabled transcripts. | Until the ticket is deleted. |
| Dashboard sessions | To keep you signed in. | Until sign-out or expiry. |
What is not stored
- Direct messages. The bot does not read them and cannot.
- Message content from channels where logging is off.
- Your Discord password. Sign-in goes through Discord's OAuth and Epix never sees it.
- Payment details. If a subscription exists, the payment processor holds them, not Epix.
Who can see it
Your server's data is visible to people with Manage Server on that server, through the dashboard. It is not sold, shared with advertisers, or used to train anything.
Removing your data
- Removing the bot from a server begins deletion of that server's configuration and stored data.
- A specific member's levelling and moderation records can be removed by a server administrator.
- For anything else, ask through the support channels on the Support page.
