Quickstart

Five minutes from an empty server to a working setup. Everything here is reversible.

   Invite the bot

   Use the invite link from the site. Accept the permissions it asks for — the reasons for each are listed on the Permissions page, and you can narrow them afterwards.

   Open the dashboard

   Sign in with Discord at dashboard.epixbot.me. You will see every server where you have Manage Server, whether or not the bot is in it.

   Move the Epix role up

   Drag the bot's role above the roles it needs to manage. Discord will not let a bot act on anyone whose highest role sits above its own, and this is the single most common reason a correctly configured action does nothing.

4. 4

   Pick one module

   Turn on one thing and confirm it works before turning on the next. Logging is a good first choice: it is read-only, it proves the bot can see events, and its output tells you immediately whether permissions are right.

5. 5

   Check the audit trail

   Every dashboard save records which fields changed. If a setting is not behaving as you expect, that history tells you what was actually written.
